ABOUT ME...

Ryan Jette is a Montana-born artist with a focus in ceramics, timber and glass.  While he has been enthusiastic about ceramics and timber since childhood, it was during his teens that his romance with glass began.  This happened after routinely sneaking out of class to visit the glassworks shop across the street from his high school in an early effort to fuse glass to ceramic.  This is where he was offered his first job at an art glass studio.

While not a formally trained artist, he draws from experiences with other community members to expand his knowledge, methods and techniques for his work.  In his words, “I think the extremes that come with my ad hoc learning style, great loss but sometimes even greater accomplishment, ignite my passion for further exploration and understanding of these mediums.  This passion is my driving force.”

His most recent work has been dedicated to atmospheric-fired home furnishings, but he continues to have mugs available regularly.  He is currently residing in Missoula, MT with his roommate, Saucy Dog (pictured above) and not accepting new commissions.
